Modern kit, specifically a lot of GI kit, isn't really any different than the stuff in the OP, Its just lighter, looks nicer, and PALS/MOLLE webbing is a better system for attachment. I’ve tried numerous things and a good set of webbing just works. It is also much cheaper than modern battle belts whilst still having the same functionality. Don’t have much xp with other lbe but I really dig my plce. It’s basicly a half way between a shooters belt and actual webbing.
